Ok, I've fully made up my mind about choices for universities and have already submitted my form... my final 3 choices were: 1) Fudan University, 2) East China Normal University, and 3) Tsinghua University!
I did some extra research into each universities' accommodation for international students - they stay in different places to the Chinese students... they obviously don't want any of our "British student" culture influencing them perhaps! :-P Haha. However, when searching the universities' websites, they were unfortunately quite slow and with little information talking about the accommodation - few pictures and few details, although looking through what they show and say, they all look rather like quite posh hotel rooms! The average price per room, for a single bed and en-suite bathroom was RMB130 (about £13), except it did not say whether this rate was per week or per month, although judging by how much it was cost for the year if by week, that would make it as expensive as in the UK, so I would presume monthly...

Although I did ask my friend who is studying in Fudan at the moment to try and take pictures of the rooms inside the international students accommodation, that has not been done yet so I unfortunately have yet to see what their rooms are like, but I can imagine they are pretty much similar to the ones from the other universities' shown below...
Below: the different types of rooms available at East China Normal University for international students - the bigger the room and the more people it can accommodate, the more expensive, obviously!

Below: a single, en-suite room - one that I would want as don't like sharing! Lol.
So, now it's fingers-crossed until March, when they decision will be made as to where I will be going to in China... I'm hoping it will be Fudan, but will not complain if it is East China Normal - as long as it is definitely one of the two! :-D I am excited to know where I shall be going so that I can start sorting out all the documents, flights, accommodation, etc... which by that time will be even more exciting! :-P
